Lea Monroe

Hi, my name is
Lea Monroe!

And dailymealflow is my little corner of the internet!

I launched dailymealflow in the spring of 2018 while I was still working 9‑to‑5 as a corporate accountant in Charlotte. I’d been cooking for friends on weekends, swapping recipes, and the idea of a simple, no‑fluff site where I could share the meals that kept me sane during tax season kept bubbling up. The first post was a quick “One‑Pan Lemon Chicken” that I wrote on a coffee‑stained napkin, and I posted it the same night. Within six months the blog was getting about 2,000 unique visitors a month, and by the end of 2020 that number had jumped to 10,000.

Fast forward to today, dailymealflow reaches roughly 75,000 readers each month and has grown into a full‑time kitchen. I added a weekly meal‑plan subscription in 2021, rolled out short video tutorials in 2022, and published my first cookbook, Everyday Flow Meals, in October 2022 – it’s sold over 5,000 copies so far. The community has become a place where home cooks trade tips, ask questions, and celebrate the everyday joy of food. I’m humbled that a site that began as a hobby now helps thousands of families put a healthy, tasty dinner on the table without the stress.

I live in Asheville, North Carolina, with my husband, Matt, and two rescue dogs, Olive and Jasper. When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll find me hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains, digging my hands into a new vegetable garden, or spinning a jazz vinyl on my old turntable. My favorite things are fresh basil, a well‑worn cast‑iron skillet, and the smell of rain on a summer night.

One quirky habit I’ve picked up over the years is writing each new recipe on a yellow legal‑pad before I type it up – it keeps the creative flow moving and gives me a little paper‑trail of my culinary experiments.
